Belinda

The technique employed is primarily expressive ink drawing, The hair is rendered with energetic, swirling, and looping lines that convey a sense of wildness and volume. These lines are varied in thickness and pressure, some appearing thick and bold, others thin and delicate, creating a dynamic texture. The face is drawn with more refined, yet still somewhat loose and gestural, lines. The eyes are suggested rather than fully detailed, with heavy shadow obscuring much of the expression, adding to the enigmatic quality. The lips are depicted with dark, defined strokes, contrasting with the lighter rendering of the skin. There's a distinct gestural quality to the drawing, with visible  strokes that communicate the artist's direct engagement with the medium.

The rendering of the hair, in particular, feels almost abstract in its density and movement, surrounding and somewhat consuming the more representational features of the face.

The starkness and the intensity of the ink work create a powerful and memorable image.
